About Alarinka

Alarinka Travel is a purpose-driven Africa travel company curating authentic adventures, slow travel experiences, and cultural immersions for curious minds, adventurers, and digital nomads. We design journeys for travellers who want to do more than move — people who want to connect, learn, give back, and leave a lasting impact.

Our trips combine adventure + purpose — blending exploration, storytelling, and community impact. Each itinerary is custom-designed to promote sustainable development, education, and local empowerment, with portions of every trip dedicated to community outreach projects in the destinations we visit.

Whether it’s supporting local schools, working with community leaders, or collaborating with artisans and local guides, Alarinka ensures every traveller leaves a footprint that matters.

OUR STORY

The Founder

I’m Omotoke Fatoki — a Travel Entrepreneur, Africa Migration Advocate, and Storyteller, and the founder of Alarinka Travel. My journey into travel began with curiosity — a deep desire to see Africa beyond what I had been told. I’ve backpacked across more than 20 countries in Africa by road, from the bustling streets of Nairobi to the serene hills of Rwanda, the vibrant culture of Dakar, and the tranquil shores of The Gambia. Every trip, every border crossed, every community I met has shaped how I see the continent and my purpose within it. After all these years of backpacking adventures, it is now time to put all these experiences into helping more people travel — to explore Africa safely, meaningfully, and intentionally.

Over the years, I’ve learned that travel isn’t just about destinations — it’s about connection, storytelling, and giving back. That’s why every Alarinka trip is custom-designed to support local communities, with outreach projects focusing on education, sustainability, and empowerment, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
